Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area provides training, education, and employment for people in our 23-county territory in Tennessee and North Georgia. Our nonprofit operates retail stores, donation centers, and workforce development programs to fund and support our mission.


We offer a range of services, including vocational training, job placement assistance, skills development programs, and supportive services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.


Our services are person-centered, meaning they are tailored to meet the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each individual we serve. We recognize that every person has their strengths, abilities, and aspirations, and we strive to support them in achieving their full potential.

Tax Deduction

When you drop off your donations at your local Goodwill, you’ll receive a receipt. Hang on to it! You can claim a tax deduction for donations that are in good condition. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires you to state the value of your donation to claim a deduction.

Donate Goods

When you donate your new and gently used items, local Goodwill organizations sell them in stores and online, generating revenue to provide valuable employment training and job placement services for people in your community.
