Goodwill programs strengthen communities and families and promote independence and dignity for the people who need it most.
Chattanooga Goodwill Industries provides education and career services, as well as job placement opportunities and post-employment support to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment so that they can find and keep good jobs. Individuals can achieve greater levels of self-sufficiency and economic success through Goodwill’s family strengthening and workforce development services – such as employment training and education, work experience, employment retention services, financial literacy, digital skills and other training programs.
Last year, more than 700 participants received employment and training services, job trainees contributed 66,000 hours to worthy nonprofit agencies in our community, and 67.8% of our trainees were able to secure a job during a year dramatically impacted by the pandemic. Additionally, our Goodwill diverted more than 8 million pounds of material from landfills through sales and salvage.
